Our aims and vision

OUR AIM:

To provide innovative and practical solutions to the most urgent issues affecting older people, their carers, health professionals and the broader community and to use evidence to inform policy and program development in government, health services, aged care services and industry stakeholders.

Currently, MARC’s efforts are focussed on four themes of priority importance to the partners: Dementia; Falls Prevention; End-of-Life Care; and Healthy Ageing.

OUR VISION:

That older people receive the best possible care and support through services, programs and policies which support health and an optimal quality of life wherever they live.

OUR MISSION:

To improve the lives of older people by rapidly translating research evidence into policy and practice and to ensure an evidence base for existing practice.
