New ways to assist health professional detect depression and anxiety on older Chinese Australians

An Australian-first study on depression and anxiety among older Chinese immigrants has shown that one in five participants had clinically significant symptoms of depression and one in 10 exhibited clinically-significant symptoms of anxiety. New Director of NARI appointed

Associate Professor Briony Dow has been appointed Director of the National Ageing Research Institute. She begins her new position on Monday 25 May, following the retirement of Professor David Ames. Professor Ames has led NARI since 2007.

The Melbourne Ageing Research Collaboration (MARC) is bringing some of Melbourne’s top ageing researchers together for its first colloquium to discuss four critical areas of age on Thursday 21 May.
